Inspired by its commitment to building the Philippines as an entrepreneurial nation, the Philippine Center for Entrepreneurship, Inc. (Go Negosyo) launches several programs that inspire Filipinos particularly the young people to learn and appreciate entrepreneurship. This year, GoNegosyo is hosting the Philippine run of the SOUTHEAST ASIA MOBILE APPLICATION CHALLENGE to be called the GoNegosyo Mobile Application Challenge or GNMAC).
GNMAC is an idea and mobile application competition open even for non-technology participants. Winners of GNMAC (SEAMAC in the Philippines) will get the chance to represent the country and compete for the regional finals in Singapore and the world finals in Barcelona.
To join the challenge, your school may send groups comprise of 2-6 members (aged 18 to 35) with at least one Filipino citizen. We encourage participants from all backgrounds, because we believe diversity influences innovation.
Registration must be completed on www.gonegosyo.net/appchallenge. When you register, the information needed are the following: TEAM NAME, TEAM LEADER, CONTACT DETAILS & THE MOBILE APPLICATION IDEA. Deadline of submission is on October 30, 2014.
In this regard, we would be grateful if you can endorse this activity to your network. We wish to let our youth get involved and be immersed in the lessons that will be shared by this mobile application challenge.

DECLARING FRIDAY, 24 OCTOBER 2014, AS A SPECIAL (NON-
WORKING) DAY IN THE PROVINCE OF NEGROS ORIENTAL
WHEREAS, the Province of Negros Oriental marks the celebration of the “Buglasan Festival” in the month of October of every year;
WHEREAS, in order for the people of the Province of Negros Oriental to celebrate and participate in the event, the Sangguniang Panlalawigan has requested that Friday, 24 October 2014, be declared as non-working day.
NOW, THEREFORE, I, PAQUITO N. OCHOA JR., Executive Secretary, by authority of His Excellency, BENIGNO S. AQUINO III, do hereby declare Friday, 24 October 2014, as a special (non-working) day in the Province of Negros Oriental.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
